Center for Research in Urdu Language Processing (CRULP)
Center for Research in Urdu Language Processing (CRULP) is conducting research and development in linguistic and computational aspects of Urdu and other languages of Pakistan. Formation of CRULP was announced at the “First National Urdu Software Development Workshop” held in March of 2001 at FAST-NU Lahore in March 2001, and was established in July 2001. The center was established to conduct research and development in three areas. These include: Speech Processing, Computational Linguistics and Script Processing. Since 2001, the center has worked on various projects, conducted number of workshops, produced numerous publications and has extended their joint work with some reputable organizations like Microsoft, PAN Asia, Ministry of IT Pakistan and Ferozesons to name a few.
